Scuba’s Diary – August 4, 2008
Mom caught Toby with another Colorado River Toad last night after the rainstorm had past. Keiko, Norman and myself believe that he’s addicted to them. We tried telling Mom about Toby’s dependence on the River Toads but as usual, Mom refuses to see the bad in any dog.
"No," she says, in total denial. "It’s not an addiction."
We mentioned some of his erratic behavior such as mood swings, sticking his head into a hole in the ground or spending hours alone beneath the porch steps. I even pointed out his glassy, wild eyed expression but Mom just called it his happy look. Of course he’s happy, he’s been licking River Toads. Will update weekly on Toby’s problem.

WOO WOO - Colorado River Toads?
We don't have them here in Iowa. Are they Tasty? They will scream when you catch them? Are they fun to lick? Mom needs to go look them up on the Internet so we can see what they do look like!

Whoa, he looks like he's seeing some psychadelic colors!! Like pretty pinwheels floating in the air. Those toads must be potent! Yeah, he's addicted to Mr. Happy Toad. We just have tiny ones that come out on the road to be smashed when it rains.
love & wags,

We tagged you because we think you just need another hobby (just so you don't dig your head in the sand too much!!)

Oh Man...Lacie got addicted to Toadies last summer. She'd actually get Mumsie up in the middle of the night pretendin' it was a bathroom emergency...but she really just wanted to go out hunting!!! Yep...we think she just craved them...thankfully, the toads all went and hid when the weather got cold and Lacie seems to have forgotten about them. We haven't seen as many this year...but it's only early August!!!
Great job on the bone relay...wasn't it the best ever?????
