Woof everypups. Last night NBC, ABC and CBS simultaneously aired STAND UP TO CANCER in an effort to raise money to combat this horrible disease. Now Mom doesn't normally watch these shows, but to honor our dear Aunt Annie who lost her wonderful mom Helen to colon cancer two weeks ago, we all gathered and watched the show. Now I know that times are hard and the price of doggie biscuits is skyrocketing, but if you have the financial means to do so, please donate to STAND UP TO CANCER.
Every year over 500,000 people in this country die from cancer. That's 1500 Americans every day. It is an atrocity that this is allowed to continue without intervention. More funding for research is needed immediately and the weight of finding a cure has been placed on the shoulders of private citizens.
As billions of dollars are spent on wars and weapons, funding for cancer research has been cut. The United States Government needs to get its priorities in order as the welfare of the people is at stake. Democrats and Republicans alike need to join together to urge Congress and the next President of the U.S. to stand with us to defeat this terrible affliction.
500,000 PEOPLE EVERY YEAR, 1,500 PEOPLE EVERY DAY, 62 PEOPLE EVERY HOUR, 1 PERSON EVERY SECOND WILL DIE OF CANCER. WAKE UP WASHINGTON!!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? WE CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER, PEOPLE ARE DYING! THIS IS A CAUSE WORTH FIGHTING FOR! STAND UP TO CANCER NOW!!
