GOOFY NICKNAMES FOR DOGS

Just a lazy Sunday morning, the way Sunday mornings were meant to be. At least until the race or a football game comes on T.V. Anyway, we were just hanging out in the back yard talking about the silly little nicknames that Mom sometimes will use when she talks to us. One of her favorites names to call us is Pooch Wooch. 'Are you hungry, Pooch Wooch?' 'Want a biscuit, Pooch Wooch?' and so on. It's a little embarrassing when our neighbor Duke is over to visit. Another name she calls us is 'Freakoid Puppies'. That one's not too bad, we'll take it over Pooch Wooch. Or she just numbers us, Scuba is Dog Number One, Keiko is Dog Number Two, Norman is Dog Number Three and Toby is Dog Number Four. Just a little impersonal, Mom. Then there are the days when she tries to make our names rhyme with something, anything, whether it makes sense or not. Norman always comes out ahead with that because he's got the 'Stormin Norman' label. That's a good one. But 'Scuba Puba?' OH MY DOG! Please stop. How about 'Tober Topper' for Toby? No self respecting canine is gonna answer to that one. Or what about 'Baby Cakes' for Keiko? Holy Puppy Poop! No wonder she's a little insecure. So we want to know from the rest of the pups out there, do you have to endure the Goofy Name Game as we do or is your human normal?

PARTY PICTURES

Toby's birthday bash was a smashing success! All of the pups had a great time.

Maggie and Mitch brought along some very tasty Peppermint Ice Cream.

Party Dawg Duke had a barking good time.

Willow and Norman enjoyed the food.

Keiko loved the Milkbone pinata.

The Party B's danced all night long.

The Thundering Herd mushed over from Carolina.

Cousins Yeller and Scout enjoyed the balloons and beer.

Scuba enjoyed the beer too.

THEN......WHEN THE COYOTES CRASHED THE SCENE....

and went after Maggie and Mitch and the Peppermint Ice Cream....

EVERYTHING GOT A LITTLE CRAZY!

Roxy noticed the neighbor's cat in the tree near the Milkbone pinata. Hmmm...she has an idea.

Khyra wins the drinking game but needed to take a rest.

MJ had to deal with a persistent coyote.....Sorry Big Boy, she's taken.

Suka was looking for more than beer. "Hey Meatloaf, got any peyote?"

Peanut and Flash just had to see who could out drink who.

Luckily the Three Heelers kept a lookout.

And then.........

The police helicopter arrived on the scene and the pups scattered, hiding where they could.

Woops, one of the Heelers got busted. Guess we're gonna need bail money.

AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE DESERT PUPS ARE DONE FOR THE NIGHT.

THANKS TO ALL THE PUPS WHO MADE IT TO TOBY'S PARTY. WE HAD A HOWLING GOOD TIME.

WE LOVE SUKA AND MJ

We are so embarrassed because we forgot to nominate our good friends
Suka and MJ for this award (we blame Mom and that dumb job interview thingy). Suka and MJ have been good friends to us(even though Suka got a little out of control at Toby's party and went streaking though the neighborhood, howling at the moon. And MJ, well, she was seen mixing it up with one of the coyotes). But that's OK, a lot of pups went a little crazy at the party. In fact one of our neighbor's cats hasn't been seen since and everyone seems to think that Roxy and MJ had something to do with it. Anyway, Suka and MJ, this award is for you.
