DESERT MUSEUM

Holy Puppy Poop!!! Look at the size of those kitty cats. This is a photo that Mom took when she was visiting the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. These are Mountain Lions and are one of the most popular exhibits at the museum. The really great thing about the Desert Museum is that they rehabilitate wild animals or they rescue injured animals or animals that wander into populated areas that would otherwise have to be killed. The Desert Museum is a pawsome place to learn about all of the animals that share the Sonoran Desert with us. The only bad thing is that Mom never lets us go. She says dogs and Mountain Lions don't mix. But what does she know, we ain't afraid of no stinkin Mountain Lions. They're just big cats, with big claws and big teeth and......hey, Keiko, why are you hiding under the bed?

Pups,

Let me tell you something about mountain lions... They are big cats. I know you guys are all big and think cats would make a tasty appetizer but I'm smaller then alot of house cats and they can be pretty scary. Now mountain lions are to you what cats are too me. My advice - STAY AWAY FROM THEM! I've been the victim of cat claws more than once and it does not feel good...

Holy catnip, those are big. Where we live, they have claimed that Mountain Lions are extinct (meaning no (ex) stink (stinct) we think). But people have claimed to see them. We find it interesting that the Park Service has started listing them as a "possible" inhabitant in our area in ecological studies. Guess we had better be on the alert.

Here, kitty, kitty - oh my!

hey Desert Pups,

I told you there is something strange going on in the land of Cats! I have never seen a Mountain Lion but I agree with Keiko, run and hide! Especially if Mountian Lions are related to Ninja kitty, who can move without moving! Yipes! That's hella scary for Halloween!

Those cats are not so tough. My parents took me to that museum when I was just a puppy and I barked so much that one of the lions went deep inside his cave to get away from me! Then the ranger came and told mom that I was not allowed to be there.

Happy Halloween...I hope your treat bags are filled with wonderful tasties.

That Desert Museum does some good work. Glad to hear that they help out those animals.

I've never seen cats quite like that before. Do you think that one of them would play with me???

I LOVE the Desert Museum!!!! I used to go there all the time when I was a kid! Its been years since I have been there though.

You were lucky to see the kitties out and about, they were always sleeping when I went.
